Hosted by the Green Inclusion and Belonging Committee, this event is designed not only to satisfy your sweet tooth but to celebrate the diverse cultures that enrich the Greater Akron area, showcasing an array of candies, baked goods, and desserts from around the world.

As appetizers of culture, sweets hold a special place in our hearts and traditions. Mayor Rocco Yeargin emphasized how food can foster a greater sense of belonging within the community, reminding us that sharing sweets is about much more than just tasting; it's about connecting. How to Participate: Join the Sweet Experience
If you’re a local baker passionate about your cultural recipes, you’re invited to contribute! Local families, businesses, or organizations can register to provide 60 to 100 samples of their favorite treats by June 18 at cityofgreen.org/register under Special Events. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase your baking skills while participating in an event that celebrates community spirit.
The Importance of Giving Back
Admission to this delightful event is free, but a $5 donation to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank is suggested. This not only highlights the community’s commitment to helping those in need but also reinforces the idea that food can serve as a bridge towards kindness and support in challenging times.
