A pillar of the Community
Linda's life was intertwined with her community, having devoted 38 years to educating the youth of Akron Public Schools. A graduate of the University of Akron, she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, showcasing her commitment to education. Her outstanding contributions were recognized when she was honored as an 'Outstanding Educator of the Year,' a testament to her impactful teaching.
A Family Matriarch
Linda's love extended beyond the classroom. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Constantine (Dean) Goumas, and three children: Christopher, Kimberly, and Laura. Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and her dedication as a grandmother is remembered fondly by many. Family time, especially at the beach, was a cherished highlight of her life, reflecting the importance of bonds forged over years.

In addition to her family and teaching, Linda was an avid reader and traveler. She believed in giving back, actively supporting organizations like Samaritan's Purse and Grace Church. Her commitment to helping others mirrored her nurturing spirit, as she often sought to uplift those around her.
