Coventry Local Schools Board Takes Steps Forward

The Coventry Board of Education recently held a meeting on May 28 where they approved several significant administrative contracts aimed at enhancing leadership within the school district. Among those receiving new contracts are Kelly Kendrick as the director of operations and Melissa Dort as the director of pupil services, both of whom will be key figures in pushing the district forward.

During the meeting, Coventry Middle School principal Tina Norris took the time to honor middle school students Ava King and Owen Eder for their achievements recognized by the Ohio Middle Level Association (OMLA). Strategic Planning for Future Growth

As part of their strategic planning, the board also reviewed an updated five-year forecast, approved various contracts including technology support for Fiscal Year 2026, and finalized the academic calendar for the 2025-26 school year. Notably, the school hours will be adjusted across the district to streamline operations, starting at 7:30 a.m. at Coventry High School and 8:55 a.m. at Coventry Elementary School.
